Instruction guide
NOTE: Temperature matters. Ideal range: 75–85℉. Find a heat source that can put out about 85–90℉.
A seed mat or heating pad is ideal, however in a pinch you can use it in a source near ambient heat such as a shoebox with a desktop computer or a heat vent register if it's near the floor (again, in a shoebox).
⚠ If you skip this step and you are unable to maintain temperatures higher than 70℉ you may have a harder time germinating seeds regardless of the method used.
Steps
- Insert a fresh liner into the filtering cup.
- Slide the partition into the filtering cup using the notches.
- Load your seeds. Separate seeds per wedge and note the number.
- Fill the case with 2/3 cup of filtered lukewarm water*
- Gently drop the filtering cup into the water and let it gradually sink. Close the lid.
- Let the seeds soak for 16 hours (max 24 hours). DO NOT EXCEED 24 HOURS.
- Take the lid off and carefully remove the filtering cup. Throw away the old water.
- Transplant any sprouts with a taproot longer than 1/4" with the tweezers provided.
- Add 5 teaspoons of lukewarm filtered water* to the fill notches in the outer shell.
- Put the filtering cup back into the case and close the case.
- Keep the case in ideal temperatures as your seeds germinate and check often (2x a day).
- Use the seed tweezers round end to perform holes to place seeds in soil or coco coir.
